Welcome to the Kayaye Journal!
Welcome to The Kayaye Journal
This journal exists as a living space — for reflection, remembrance, and care rooted in tradition and intention.
Here, I’ll be sharing thoughts on herbal wisdom, seasonal rest, and the plants that have supported Black households for generations. Not rushed. Not performative. Just honest offerings grounded in lived experience, research, and respect for the body.
In February, I’m sharing a gentle series called What’s the Herb? — a space to talk about plants that have been used in Black households for generations. Herbs that supported bodies, soothed skin, and helped us tend to ourselves with what was available.
This won’t be every day. It won’t be rushed. Just 1–2 herbs a week, shared slowly and intentionally.
These are the same plants that guide how I create at The Kayaye Way — from salves to bath soaks — rooted in care, tradition, and respect for the body.
This work matters.
Our stories matter.
The care we’ve always practiced deserves to be named and honored.
Thank you for being here, for reading, and for choosing to move with intention.
